How to Care for Full-Grain Leather Bags in the Indian Climate
Full-grain leather is a living, breathing natural material. In tropical Indian environments with alternating monsoon dampness and dry heat, proper conditioning prevents mildew and drying out.
1. Never Store in Plastic Covers
Always store your leather bags in the breathable 100% cotton dust bags provided with your Valise Luxe order. Plastic wraps trap ambient moisture and induce mildew.
2. Condition Every 4 to 6 Months
Apply a pea-sized amount of beeswax or lanolin leather balm using a clean microfiber cloth in gentle circular strokes. Let it absorb for 15 minutes before buffing to a natural glow.
3. If It Gets Soaked in Rain
Do not use a hairdryer or place it near a radiator. Stuff the interior with unprinted newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape, and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature.
